Barbecue Blur

A more abstract shot from the reception.  This should be a new filter in Photoshop.

SPEED Skating

Sorry for no posts the last few days – I was enjoying Christmas too much.  We saw lots of friends and family and made a trip to Toronto, where we saw a superb production of “A Christmas Carol” put on by the Soulpepper Theatre Company.  This was my gift to my family.  I think they thoroughly enjoyed it.

Heading back to the Olympic photos for a bit – should be finished soon.  This is one that got past me the first time, as well.  There is another speed skating photo that I thought I preferred, but this one has really grown on me.  I think I like it mainly because the blur seems to lessen in each passing skater.

“He has the power to render us happy or unhappy; to make our service light or burdensome; a pleasure or a toil. Say that his power lies in words and looks; in things so slight and insignificant that it is impossible to add and count ’em up: what then? The happiness he gives, is quite as great as if it cost a fortune.” – Scrooge

This is a photo from my last Olympic gallery (I promise) I put together called "Extended Moments".  It is a series of slightly longer exposures, some of which have been developed in extreme ways – this is one of those.

You can see the gallery here.
